The town’s leaders are more concerned with their own ambitions than with the rising flood waters that threaten to inundate the town, while nearly everyone else simply refuses to acknowledge the peril. Flotsam and Jetsam is a black comedy in the tradition of Catch 22. It is an allegory for the growing and undeniable threat of climate change, while taking a swing, as well, as our current financial crisis, in which our politicians have doubled down on the trickle-down economic policies that created the problem in the first place.
